Kaylee’s Heart Fundraiser in Newsday

Kaylee Paperin of East Meadow required open heart surgery when she was 6 weeks old. Now, at age 10, she has been chosen to be a Heart Walk ambassador, and her family held a fundraiser for the American Heart Association at the Nutty Irishman in Farmingdale on Saturday. Kaylee in Long Island Newsday

Newsday ran an article of Kaylee’s Heart fundraiser online today and should be in the printed paper Friday, Aug. 5th.  The reporter will also be down at The Nutty Irishman on Saturday to cover the event as well.

Our fundraiser is looking good so far and we are very optimistic.

We had a fabulous time at the fundraiser we did at the Long Island Ducks Game on July 10, 2011.  We had 75 people and I thank everyone for coming out for such a great day to help support Kaylee’s Heart Team and The American Heart Association.

JOIN TEAM “KAYLEE’S HEART”

♥ KAYLEE PAPERIN - 2011 HEART WALK  AMBASSADOR! ♥

First, I want to start by thanking all of your for your past efforts to support the American Heart Association and "Kaylee's Heart." Without your support, none of what we have been able to achieve would have been possible.

This year we are excited to announce, Kaylee was honored to be chosen by the AHA as this years Long Island Heart Walk Ambassador. She is so excited to be at the front  of the line and to be cutting the ribbon for the Heart Walk this year and be on hand for events leading up to the Heart Walk. 

I am working hard this year to make this years heart walk the best! I was also asked early this year, to be the the Community Teams Head Chairperson.  My work with the American Heart Association has always been very important to me and my family.

We could really use your help though. We are asking if you could JOIN OUR TEAM THIS YEAR and help us raise funds for this important cause and help us reach our goal!

Wrote Kaylee's Story.  This is the draft.  I sent it off to the American Heart Association for final copy to be made.  It really brought back many memories and made me realize how very blessed we are to have Kaylee in our lives!
